Job Description
We are currently hiring Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. This full-time position offers a competitive salary starting at $17 per hour and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule starting at 7:00am.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and distributing merchandise. In addition to conducting merchandise movement activities, this role includes providing training to other employees and ensuring accurate customer orders and system records.
Key Responsibilities
- Move and organize merchandise efficiently to optimize space.
- Handle merchandise transfers to and from the show floor, ensuring quality.
- Utilize the point of sale system to manage inventory flow.
- Verify accuracy of customer orders and maintain system records.
- Perform tasks related to incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Train and mentor other employees.
- Deliver excellent customer service and address inventory discrepancies.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent damage and maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with ground and building maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of tools and hardware assembly.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer proficiency.
