Job Summary:

Join our team as an Acme Operator at WesternScott Fetzer, where you will operate multiple spindle lathe type screw machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms to machine metal bar stock.

Essential Duties:

• Effectively use shop packages including manufacturing orders, bills of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts, and quality alerts.
• Set up and operate multiple machines simultaneously as required by the routing.
• Sort and rework non-conforming parts as required.
• Produce product to established quality standards and notify your direct supervisor of any non-conforming products found.
• Participate in SQCD Board meetings as scheduled.
• Perform quality checks according to specified procedures and associated Inspection Record.
• Request raw materials in a timely manner for production and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance according to released methods 100% of the time.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Safely and properly operate and set up various production machines.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to do simple math calculations.
• Read and comprehend instructions, memos, blueprints, and fill in required quality forms.
• Use measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and other inspection devices.
• High School Education or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
