Job Description
We are looking for an Application Engineer specializing in React Native to join Discover Financial Services. As a Front End Application Engineer, you will collaborate with product designers to enhance the customer experience on discover.com. This role involves analyzing, designing, testing, and deploying new features while ensuring quality and proactive issue remediation. Additionally, you will contribute to technology communities, guide team efforts, and achieve product objectives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, program, test, and deploy user stories and features with high quality.
- Provide guidance to Associate and Senior Associate Application Engineers.
- Lead technology communities and influence team commitments.
- Make design decisions and guide the team towards key results.
- Remediate issues using engineering principles and proactive design solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Computer Science or related Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Internal applicants require technical proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus engineering scale.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with React Native, Redux, and Frontend frameworks.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented principles and software testing.
