Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Manager to join the Bowser-Morner Inc team in managing technical and administrative services for our construction materials engineering and testing division in Toledo. This role involves supporting the Department Manager in overseeing a team of construction materials technicians, administrators, and engineering support staff. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in project budgeting, quoting, project management, staff development, operations management, and account management/business development, ensuring excellence and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in project budgeting and quoting for construction services projects.
- Manage project activities, quality control, and communications with field staff.
- Recommend and implement adjustments to staff and resource levels to meet project demands.
- Lead project staffing and assignments in the absence of the manager.
- Participate in business development activities and maintain client relationships.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
- Minimum 4-7 years of experience in construction materials testing or engineering.
- Preferably an Engineering Intern working towards a Professional Engineering License.
- Excellent consulting, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
