Cost Accountant

Job Description

Marine Hydraulics International, LLC is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join their team in Norfolk, Virginia. As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, conducting financial analysis, and providing insights to support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Calculate monthly revenue and prepare financial project result reports.
• Assist in reviewing monthly project EACs and supporting project managers.
• Prepare month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and financial forecasts updates.
• Monitor indirect rates and ensure compliance with FAR and CAS regulations.
• Support Contracts department with cost reporting and invoice preparation.
• Drive process improvements and participate in ad-hoc projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
