CT-Technologist- PRN

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at Akumin on a PRN basis. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and performing high-quality CT studies. Additionally, you will be involved in communicating effectively with customers and potentially training new technologists and Patient Coordinators.

Specific Duties

• Ensure patient safety and pre-screen for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicate with customers and radiologists.
• Participate in the training of new technologists and Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologist by the ARRT or NMTCB.
• State license and CPR certification.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

Physical Requirements

The role may involve exposure to outside weather conditions, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases. Physical activities include sitting, standing, walking, repetitive movements, and patient handling.
