Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join First Student, the leading school transportation provider in North America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school buses, ensuring vehicle safety and readiness. This role offers competitive pay of $27 - $29 per hour, benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and tremendous career advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and DOT maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle systems such as brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders and assist with emergency services.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license; CDL training provided.
- Minimum 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or technical education.
- Mechanic's toolset and willingness to obtain ASE certifications.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
