Job Description
We have an immediate opening for an Elementary School English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher at Match Education. As a Language Acquisition Teacher (LAT), you will play a crucial role in teaching and supporting multilingual students to achieve their language acquisition goals. The position is based at our elementary school in Hyde Park, Boston, and offers a salary ranging from $61,200 to $97,920, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide co-teaching, instructional, and inclusion support for multilingual learners.
- Deliver targeted language interventions to students in small groups.
- Utilize ELD levels and assessments to drive instruction for language development.
- Manage language acquisition programming including paperwork, professional development, parent communication, and compliance requirements.
- Communicate student progress regularly with families through various channels.
- Collaborate with the team to share best practices for language development in the classroom.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of full-time ESL, classroom, or special education teaching experience, preferably in an urban setting.
- Possess a valid ESL license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education or obtain licensure by the date of hire.
- Believe in the success of all students and commit to continuous improvement in teaching practice.
