Job Description
ALSTAR EMS, a private ambulance company servicing Chautauqua County for over 30 years, is seeking EMTs for various positions. We respond to over 17,000 calls per year, operating ambulance stations in Dunkirk, NY and Jamestown, NY, as well as the Starflight Medevac program. ALSTAR EMS offers flexible scheduling and provides our crew with the most up-to-date equipment and fleet. We are currently hiring for casual, part-time, and full-time EMTs to work varying shifts.
Responsibilities
- Render professional basic emergency care in accordance with N.Y.S basic protocol standards.
- Attend 25 hours of EMS-related continuing education per year.
- Maintain credential skills as outlined in the Standard Operating Guidelines.
- Facilitate frequent contact with physicians, EMS/Fire Personnel, police agencies, aeromedical personnel, MTS division staff, management staff, patients, and families.
Requirements
- Current certifications in: New York State Department of Health EMT-Basic and CPR for the professional rescuer (AHA or equivalent).
- Renew CPR credentials biannually.
- Valid driver's license acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.
- ICS-100, NIMS700, HAZMAT Awareness (Post 9/11/01), NYS Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training.
