Job Description
We are seeking an Epic Health Information Management (HIM) Analyst to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As an integral part of the EHR Services practice, you will play a key role in improving healthcare delivery systems through technology. This remote position offers you the opportunity to work on HIM configuration changes, mentoring local and client-based teams, and leading Epic software upgrade initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work on HIM configuration changes and builds, maintaining industry standards and resolving issues.
- Translate user requirements into functional and technical design specifications.
- Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert to team members.
- Lead medium to large complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives.
- Participate in design and validation sessions and liaise between Operations, IT, and Third-Party Systems.
Required Qualifications
- Active Epic certification in at least two areas.
- 5+ years of direct client experience.
- 4+ years of Epic healthcare experience and domain knowledge.
- Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in relevant applications.
- Knowledge of revenue cycle metrics, KPIs, and process improvement techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed Epic CEE for certifications maintenance.
- Experience in team management and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

- In-depth knowledge of Epic EMR and the implementation cycle.
