We are looking for friendly, warm, and energetic Line Cooks to join the heart of our kitchens at Silver Diner Development, LLC. Our Line Cooks create visually appealing feasts from recipes crafted by our award-winning Executive Chef Ype Von Hengst. This position is ideal for those seeking a career in culinary arts, offering opportunities for skill development, promotions, and growth through our 'hat' development program.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that each menu item is prepared and served to meet Silver Diner's specifications.
  • Follow cooking procedures and maintain knowledge of all menu items at your station.
  • Keep your station clean, organized, and abide by safety and hygiene standards.
  • Work as a team, with clear and constructive communication.

Brand Delivery

  • Be punctual and maintain a positive and fun attitude at work.
  • Keep a personal appearance and station clean at all times.
  • Strictly adhere to uniform standards and food brand declarations.

Cost Balance

  • Properly portion menu items according to specifications.
  • Track waste and ensure all menu items are purchased and entered into the POS system.

Other Duties and Tasks

  • Perform additional duties assigned by managers.

Performance Measures

  • Ensure quick ticket times.
  • Customer satisfaction with food quality and presentation.
  • Timely kitchen re-cooks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized station.

Required Education and Experience

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality industry. Previous experience as a Line Cook is preferable but not required.
