Job Description

We are looking for contagiously friendly, warm, and energetic individuals to be the heart of our kitchens. Our Line Cooks prepare a feast for the eyes from recipes crafted by our award-winning Executive Chef, Ype Von Hengst. This position is suitable for anyone looking to develop a career in the culinary arts. Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a clean and organized station, ensure continuous cleanliness.
  • Count all prep items, checking quality and proper rotation.
  • Measure and gather all ingredients and cook items according to specifications.
  • Prepare assigned items according to specifications and prep list.
  • Label, date, rotate, and properly store all prepared items using the FIFO system.
  • Return bulk items to the cooler as you are prepping to keep them out of the danger zone.
  • Properly operate each piece of equipment.
  • Notify KM of equipment repair and maintenance needs.
  • Work as a team, with clear and constructive communication.

Brand Delivery

  • Show up to work on time.
  • Maintain a positive and fun attitude in your work.
  • Keep uniform and station clean at all times.
  • Strictly adhere to all uniform standards.

Cost Management

  • Handle kitchen equipment with care to prevent breakage.
  • Waste tracking.

Other Duties and Tasks

  • Perform any additional duties or tasks assigned by managers reasonably.

Performance Measures

  • Complete prep list on time.
  • Follow recipes.

Required Education

Experience Required

Preferably, but not required, previous experience for this position.

Physical Requirements

The work area includes: food, refrigerator, knives, toasters, syrup dispensers, plates/bowls, slippery floors, and sometimes high temperatures. This is a physically intense environment that requires physical stamina and the ability to tolerate heat, refrigeration chambers, lifting/maneuvering boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, and standing or walking on hard surfaces for 10 to 12 hours per day. Ability to reach objects, bend, lift and carry objects, stoop, and clean. Ability to tolerate the proper use of cleaning and disinfecting products.
