Job Description

Johnson Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis working WEO nights. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for processing laboratory specimens and reporting results across various areas of the clinical laboratory. You will play a crucial role in maintaining quality control practices, ensuring inventory management, and performing high-complexity testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process laboratory specimens and report results accurately.
  • Perform testing in areas such as blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and more.
  • Order and manage supplies for various testing areas.
  • Monitor quality control procedures and instrument checks.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the clinical laboratory staff to optimize patient care and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology.
  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
  • Certification is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate laboratory equipment.
  • Ability to work in a hospital environment and handle physical demands of the position.
