Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse - Pediatrics

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse to join our pediatrics team at Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc. As a Care Team Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to pediatric patients, managing high-risk cases, offering patient education, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in infection control and age-appropriate pediatric care.
• Assess and address the physical, emotional, and socio-economical needs of patients and families.
• Provide urgent in-office and telephone triage as well as crisis management.
• Ensure accurate documentation of nursing care using EMR.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and perform in-office procedures efficiently.
• Coordinate post-discharge care to prevent readmissions and complications.
• Maintain continuing education and training in pediatric care.
• Adhere to practice policies and procedures.
• Handle sensitive medical information with HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the care team.
• Proficiency in EMR, Microsoft Office, and email.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Commitment to maintaining CEUs as required for licensure.
• Practice within the guidelines of the American Nursing Association Standards.
