Job Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining secure, open-source encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data for AWS customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Own the software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including designing, testing, and implementing new features.
- Operate globally distributed servers and work with customers to deliver secure and reliable cryptographic services.
- Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust to enhance security across AWS services.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with software programming languages, design patterns, and system scaling.
- Previous mentoring or leadership role in engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Full software development lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary starting from $134,500/year up to $261,500/year based on geographic location and candidate qualifications.
