Job Description
Join our team at Slumberland Furniture as a Warehouse Associate. We are currently hiring for warehouse workers with forklift operations experience to start immediately.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position:
- Responsible for efficient merchandise movement, including storing, moving, and distributing products.
- Provide training to other employees and lead by example.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently move and organize merchandise to optimize space.
- Handle merchandise for show floor display, storage, delivery, and shipment.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system for inventory management.
- Ensure accuracy in customer orders and inventory records.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments; prepare outgoing orders.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED, or currently pursuing.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Safety and Other Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety policies and practices.
- Maintain facility organization and follow safety guidelines.
- Assist with building and grounds maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain inventory accuracy.
