2024 Supply Chain Analyst Intern - Illinois

AbbVie is offering an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst Intern to join the Global Supply Planning (GSP) team. As an intern, you will have the chance to work on business-relevant continuous improvement projects to support the flow of products and inventory management for the organization. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn first-hand in a large, global organization, gaining exposure to supply planning and inventory management while supporting specific impactful projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support projects involving brand-specific scenario planning, launch or discontinuation activities, master data review, and continuous improvements related to planning processes
• Support necessary integration activities for the new combined global supply planning organization
• Take ownership of select weekly and/or monthly planning processes, providing firsthand exposure to supply planning in a large organization

Minimum Qualifications

• Enrolled in college or university, pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, or related major
• Expected graduation date between December 2024 - July 2025
• Must be enrolled in school the semester directly following the internship

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to SAP ERP and/or JDA planning system
• Critical thinker with the ability to assess and solve problems independently
• Proactive and results-driven mindset; self-starter
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in basic business tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
