Job Description
The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is seeking a highly motivated and independent Accounting Specialist to join our team. This part-time role involves performing technical accounting functions for the financial operations of the Regional Council or its subdivisions. Responsibilities include general ledger tasks, account reconciliation, report preparation, accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with payroll functions. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with accounting procedures and demonstrate accuracy and reliability in their work. This position requires knowledge of general accounting principles, budgeting processes, and excellent communication skills. The Accounting Specialist must hold at least a two-year institution degree in accounting or equivalent experience, possess proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, and have a valid NC driver's license.

Salary and Benefits
The anticipated starting salary for this part-time position is $18.01 per hour. The work hours will vary based on organizational needs and will not exceed 20 hours per week. PTRC offers a stimulating work environment, opportunities for growth, and the chance to make a difference in the community.
