Job Description
Vi Living is looking for an experienced Activities Manager to oversee and coordinate lifestyle enrichment programs for residents in Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Skilled Care. In this role, you will supervise the Lifestyle staff, develop engaging activities, and enhance the overall well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement a diverse range of programs to promote emotional, physical, social, spiritual, and vocational wellness for residents.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care plans and ensure quality care delivery.
- Evaluate program success and resident feedback to continuously improve offerings.
- Manage and lead the Lifestyle department staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Cultivate relationships with community resources, volunteers, and contractors to enrich program offerings.
- Prepare and distribute monthly communication materials such as newsletters and activity calendars.
- Maintain inventory of programming supplies and ensure program compliance with documentation policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines related to activities in skilled nursing settings.
- Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working with older adults, particularly individuals with dementia/Alzheimer's.
- Proficiency in MS Office and computer skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent experience; relevant certifications preferred.
- Must hold licensure or certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional.
- Prior experience in long-term care and familiarity with regulatory requirements.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid; valid driver's license if required.
Compensation
USD $70,909.00 - USD $88,629.00 per year
