Job Description

The CNC Setup Operator is responsible for the safe operation and setup of the CNC machines, as well as other general operation duties. This is a first shift operator position, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload parts in and out of the CNC machine.
• Timely run the CNC machine cycle to meet production established goals.
• Continuously monitor the CNC machine settings and equipment to ensure production goals are achieved.
• Conduct periodic quality checks to confirm parts meet correct specifications.
• Make adjustments to machines, as needed.
• Practice and perform LEAN Manufacturing concepts.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Must be able to speak and read in English.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented.
• Working knowledge of tooling and general machining practices.
• Reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs independently, on a regular basis.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Education/Experience

• High School diploma/GED.
• 3-5 Years CNC Machine Operation experience.
• Measuring tools experience; calipers, micrometers.

Other:

• Hourly (non-exempt) position- eligible for overtime pay, after working 40 hours.
