Construction Inspector - Lawrence

We are looking for an Experienced Construction Inspector to join our team at Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) in Lawrence, KS. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications for a variety of construction projects. Responsibilities

• Inspect various types of construction projects to ensure compliance with regulations and specifications.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, perform checks, and make recommendations for changes as needed.
• Complete and maintain inspection reports, track contractor pay item quantities, and conduct final inspections.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of construction inspection experience preferred.
• KDOT Inspection Experience and certifications such as KDOT CITT and American Concrete Institute (ACI) are a plus.
• Knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and common safety practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Physically capable of working on construction sites.
