Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join Transdev, a leading provider of transportation services across the U.S. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a variety of vehicles including Gillig buses, Cummins, Allison, and CAT heavy equipment owned by Summit County.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual maintenance checks.
- Diagnose and perform a range of repairs on vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders.
- Participate in road calls and emergency services when needed.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement (or obtainable within 90 days).
- Minimum 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or equivalent education.
- Mechanic's toolset and ASE certifications.
- Willingness to undergo DOT drug testing.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $45 - $48, with potential bonuses.
- Four 10-hour workdays per week.
