Job Description

We are looking for a skilled General Manager to join Mekiko Cantina, a thriving restaurant. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining operational standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the restaurant.
  • Report directly to the Owners.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Hire and train restaurant staff.
  • Organize and oversee staff schedules.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees according to company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
  • Manage customer satisfaction and handle complaints diplomatically.
  • Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations.
  • Manage food and beverage costs, inventory, and purchases.
  • Collaborate with chefs on menu development.
  • Maintain sales records and operational reports.
  • Perform regular equipment inspections and maintenance scheduling.

  • Proficient in restaurant technology and software.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous restaurant management experience required.
  • Completion of a management training program.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move quickly around the restaurant.
  • Stand for prolonged periods during shifts.
  • Lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
