Histotechnologist Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Histotechnologist to join Corewell Health, a leading not-for-profit health system dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services. As a Histotechnologist, you will play a vital role in the Histopathology lab, performing specialized procedures such as IHC and DIF procedures, Enzyme Histochemistry, and more.
Responsibilities
- Embed and orient tissue for microtomy.
- Cut tissue specimens according to protocols.
- Perform staining of tissue sections.
- Assist Pathologist with frozen section cases.
- Independently perform various histotechnologist procedures.
- Teach in the Histotechnologist school.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
- Histotechnologist (ASCP) certification or certification eligible.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
