Histotechnologist Full Time Evening Shift

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Histotechnologist to join our team at Corewell Health. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing tissue specimens for examination by a pathologist, ensuring accurate and timely diagnoses. As a vital member of our lab department, you will perform a range of histotechnician tasks, including embedding tissue, cutting tissue, staining slides, and maintaining equipment.

Essential Functions

• Perform histotechnician skills such as embedding and cutting tissue, staining slides, and more.
• Conduct specimen processing and maintain inventory of chemicals and stains.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Preference for CRT-Histotechnician or CRT-Histotechnologist certification by ASCP.
