Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Histotechnologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
Essential Functions
- Perform histotechnician tasks including tissue embedding, cutting, slide preparation, and staining procedures.
- May assist in specimen dissection, gross descriptions, and frozen section preparation.
- Maintain inventory, clean lab equipment, and ensure quality control procedures are followed.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training to enhance skills.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree required.
- Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred.
