Histotechnologist Full Time Evening Shift

Job Description

Corewell Health is looking for a full-time Histotechnologist to join our team for the evening shift. As a Histotechnologist, you will be responsible for preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist to aid in making diagnoses.

Essential Functions

• Perform histotechnician tasks such as embedding tissue, cutting tissue, preparing slides, and conducting routine and special staining procedures.
• Prepare specimens for frozen section examination, maintain inventory, and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of lab equipment.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with best practices and complete required training.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree.
• Certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histotechnician (HT) by ASCP preferred.

• Primary Location: 35 Michigan St, Grand Rapids
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Shift: Evening (Mon-Fri, 1:00 pm-9:30 pm)
