Histotechnologist Full Time Night Shift

Job Description

Corewell Health is seeking a Histotechnologist to join our team on a full-time night shift. As a Histotechnologist, you will be responsible for preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist, ensuring accurate diagnosis.

Essential Functions

• Perform histotechnician tasks such as embedding tissue, cutting tissue, preparing slides, and conducting routine and special staining procedures.
• May conduct specimen dissection, gross descriptions, and frozen section preparation.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals, stains, and equipment; ensure lab cleanliness and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in professional development to stay updated with best practices and complete required training.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred (ASCP).

• Department: Lab - Histology - GR.
• Employment Type: Full time.
• Shift: Night (9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday to Friday).
