Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Histotechnologist to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Histotechnologist, you will be responsible for preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment decisions.
Essential Functions
- Process, embed, cut, and stain tissue specimens.
- Perform routine and special staining procedures, including immunohistochemical staining.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Maintain inventory of chemicals, stains, and controls.
- Participate in equipment maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of activities.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree required.
- Certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histotechnician (HT) preferred.

Primary Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Shift: Night shift (9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday to Friday)
