Histotechnologist Full Time Night Shift

Job Description

Corewell Health is looking for a dedicated Histotechnologist to join our team on a full-time night shift. As a Histotechnologist, you will be responsible for preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist, ensuring accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Perform histotechnician tasks including embedding tissue, cutting tissue, preparing slides, and conducting staining procedures.
• Participate in specimen dissection, gross description, and frozen section preparation.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals and stains, clean lab equipment, and ensure quality control.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred.

Physical Demands

Detailed physical demands including lifting, carrying, sitting, standing, and visual acuity.

Location & Shift

• Primary Location: Grand Rapids, MI
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Shift: Night (9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday to Friday)
