Histotechnologist Full Time Night Shift

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Histotechnologist to join our team at Corewell Health on a full-time night shift basis. As a Histotechnologist, you will be responsible for preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination by a pathologist to aid in making accurate diagnoses. Your role will involve performing a range of histotechnician skills, including embedding tissue, cutting tissue, preparing slides, and conducting various staining procedures. Additionally, you will ensure the maintenance of lab equipment, inventory management, and documentation of activities within your area of responsibility.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required
• Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred

Physical Demands

The role involves occasional standing, walking, and forward bending, along with handling and forceful grips. Visual acuity, color vision, and physical strength are necessary for handling daily tasks effectively.

• Location: Corewell Health - 35 Michigan St, Grand Rapids
• Department: Histology Lab
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Shift: Night (9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday to Friday)
