Job Description
The Lead Program Therapist assists and supports clients from admission through discharge, providing clinical assessments and contributing insightful, practical, and meaningful information for the development of treatment plans. As a member of the treatment team, the Lead Program Therapist collaborates weekly to discuss cases and ensures clinical documentation is completed timely throughout the course of treatment.
Responsibilities
- Establish therapeutic rapport with patients and families/loved ones.
- Facilitate admission assessments and the admission process for new patients.
- Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and communicate weekly treatment goals with all team members.
- Complete the appropriate number of therapy sessions weekly for patients, including family/support system sessions aligned with the patient's level of care.
- Facilitate process-oriented and psychoeducation groups one to two times daily.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant field, required
- Completion of Connecticut state requirements to conduct therapeutic interventions, required
- Active full clinical license in the state of Connecticut (LCSW, LPC, LMFT), required
- Experience working in behavioral healthcare, highly preferred
