Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering quality care within the scope of practice outlined by the state nurse practice act. Duties include monitoring patients, providing nursing care, wound care, medication administration, and documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Current Practical Nurse license.
- Active CPR certification and state law knowledge.
- Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies.
Essential Functions
- Meet each patient's health needs systematically.
- Implement nursing care within the LPN scope.
- Assist in developing individual teaching plans.
- Care for wounds, administer medications, and monitor vital signs.
- Document actions and follow medical staff directions.
- Perform additional nursing duties as necessary.
