Job Description
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) to join our team at Bermuda Commons under Liberty Healthcare Management. This part-time position offers evening shifts (3pm - 11pm), providing an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. Responsibilities
- Assist in the direction of nursing services for the unit/hall in compliance with the Nursing Practice Act and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Delegate duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, monitoring work performance under RN supervision.
- Observe patients for symptoms/reactions, monitoring physical/mental conditions for potential adverse changes.
- Assist in notifying attending physicians of emergencies and patient deaths, implementing order changes as directed by physicians.
- Perform other assigned duties in a professional and compassionate manner.
Requirements
- High school graduate.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a Licensed Practical Nurse credential.
- Current and valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing; renewal required biennially.
- Willingness to work as a charge nurse and during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
- Ability to deliver quality nursing care, follow medical orders, and show genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- CPR certification update annually.
- Attend in-service training and staff meetings as needed.
