Job Description
We are hiring for a full-time Experienced Manufacturing/Production Maintenance Technician to join AVTEC FINISHING. This jack-of-all-trades position requires a mechanical expert who can handle various tasks in our manufacturing/production environment, including carpentry, electrical, welding, machine maintenance, plumbing, and HVAC. The primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of the shop by promptly fixing mechanical or other issues and minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance tasks, such as basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Work independently or refer complex tasks to experienced maintenance personnel.
- Be available for on-call shifts during nights & weekends if necessary.
Requirements
- Trade school training or equivalent experience of 2 years.
- Ability to handle basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and diagrams.
- Competent in performing basic welding tasks.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
