Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Maritime Scheduler to join Marine Hydraulics International, LLC. As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive production schedules, updating ship repair schedules, and providing detailed reports in compliance with contract requirements and internal processes.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a logical Work Breakdown Structure for schedule development and planning based on standard Work Items and reference drawings.
  • Integrate work from Program Managers, Project Managers, Project Team, trades, Subcontractors, and Government entities into an Integrated Production Schedule.
  • Resource load production schedules using Work Item estimates.
  • Update schedules with contract changes and progress updates.
  • Analyze data for errors, conflicts, and impact assessments, providing feedback to the Project Team.
  • Create and present weekly schedule status reports following company procedures.
  • Participate in project meetings and assist with Critical Path and Controlling Work analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Project Team on alternate sequencing scenarios and additional work requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Two years of project planning and management experience or completion of Scheduler-In-Training requirements at MHI.
  • Prior experience in shipyard, industrial, or construction industry is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software.

Working Conditions

This position is on-site in an office environment with occasional outdoor exposure. Job duties may involve sitting for extended periods, occasional lifting, climbing, stooping, or crawling. Abilities in motor coordination, arithmetic, and verbal communication are required. Some noise exposure may occur necessitating hearing protection.
