Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Medical Technologist to join Corewell Health's esteemed team. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting various tests and procedures to aid physicians in diagnosing and treating patients across different medical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform a wide range of routine and complex laboratory tests in areas such as Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and more.
• Evaluate instrument performance, ensure quality control, and correlate results with clinical data to provide accurate and reliable patient test results.
• Assist in the development of new test procedures, participate in quality assurance activities, and provide instruction to students and new staff.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree with specific coursework in biology and chemistry, along with completion of a clinical laboratory program or relevant training.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist through ASCP or equivalent certification eligibility.
• Experience in clinical laboratory settings and proficiency in analyzing laboratory data.
