Medical Technologist
Corewell Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Michigan, is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our team at the Dearborn Campus. This Full-Time Midnight shift position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus.
General Summary:
The Medical Technologist performs a variety of routine and specialized tests and procedures in one or more areas of work, including Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Microbiology, and more.
Essential Duties:
- Independently performs routine/complex procedures
- Evaluates instrument performance and quality control
- Standardizes, calibrates, and troubleshoots laboratory equipment
- Assists in the development of new test procedures
- Participates in quality assurance activities
- Provides guidance to other laboratory personnel
Standard Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a Baccalaureate degree, completion of a clinical internship, and certification by a recognized agency such as ASCP.
