Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Medical Technologist to join Corewell Health's team. As the largest not-for-profit health care system in Michigan, we offer a world of opportunities within our expansive system. Your primary responsibilities will include performing a variety of routine and specialized tests and procedures in areas such as Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and more.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform routine and complex laboratory procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Participate in the development of new test procedures and methodologies.
- Provide guidance to laboratory personnel and communicate with healthcare workers about lab results.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in biology or related field.
- Completion of a NAACLS accredited clinical internship.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist by ASCP or equivalent approved certifying agency.
Working Conditions
This role may require considerable walking and standing, as well as working with hazardous materials in a clinical laboratory environment.
