We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Medical Technologist to join Corewell Health. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine or specialized tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role offers the opportunity to work in diverse practice settings and contribute to the exceptional healthcare services provided by Corewell Health.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine/complex chemical, hematologic, and microbiologic procedures.
- Evaluate instrument performance and quality control results.
- Assist in developing new test procedures and methodologies.
- Participate in quality assurance and regulatory activities.
- Provide guidance to laboratory personnel and communicate with healthcare professionals.
- Assume designated functions of a Team Leader in the absence of the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in biology and chemistry.
- Completion of a NAACLS accredited clinical internship.
- Certification as an ASCP Medical Technologist or equivalent.
