Job Description
Corewell Health, the largest not-for-profit health care system in Michigan, is seeking a full-time Medical Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Technologist at Corewell Health, you will perform routine and specialized tests and procedures in one or more areas, such as Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and more. Your work will directly impact the diagnosis and treatment of patients, contributing to the exceptional care provided by our organization.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform a variety of complex laboratory procedures ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Participate in the development of new test procedures and methodologies.
- Provide guidance to laboratory personnel and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding test results.
- Adhere to quality assurance and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in biology with specialized training in laboratory science.
- Completion of a NAACLS accredited clinical internship.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist.
