Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Medical Technologist to join Corewell Health, Michigan's largest not-for-profit health care system. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and specialized tests in different areas like Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and more to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform various laboratory procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Evaluate and ensure the accuracy of test results by maintaining quality control standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new testing procedures and methodologies.
- Provide guidance to other laboratory staff regarding technical issues and troubleshoot equipment problems.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree with specific coursework in biology and chemistry.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist.
- Experience in clinical laboratory settings and proficiency in laboratory equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
