Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Principal Application Engineer (Full-Stack) to join Discover Financial Services' Collections Value Stream team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with business partners to build and enhance consumer-focused systems, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as OpenShift from Kubernetes. Responsibilities
- Create high-impact technology and business solutions.
- Competence in various areas like programming languages, security, automation, and testing.
- Participate in strategic technology decisions and mentor technology communities.
- Identify and resolve issues proactively based on experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Technical proficiency rating of proficient on the Dreyfus engineering scale (Internal applicants).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in front-end web development using JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React.
- Proficiency in Cloud Technologies: AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift.
- Knowledge of API service architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
- Automation mindset for testing and build/deploy concepts.
- Experience with tech stack including Java, Spring, Kafka, Openshift, Jenkins.

Compensation
Base pay ranges between $104,000.00 to $175,600.00 with additional incentives based on market standards and qualifications.
