Job Description
Join PacifiCorp as a Risk Management Analyst (Mid-Level or Senior) in Portland, Oregon. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing independent and objective analysis to support our risk management efforts. This position involves preparing market data and risk reports, monitoring risk positions, maintaining compliance with policies, and assisting in special projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily market price data and risk reports for energy supply management activities.
- Monitor power and natural gas positions against risk limits.
- Assist in responding to data requests and reviewing transactions for compliance.
- Prepare reports on transaction activity, market trends, and hedging effectiveness.
- Maintain and enforce the energy risk management policy.
- Complete assigned special projects.
Additional responsibilities for Senior level:
- Oversee preparation of data reports and responses.
- Communicate with regulatory authorities on risk management.
- Lead projects to enhance energy trading systems and tools.
- Manage documentation, process improvement, and other projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in risk management or related fields.
- Analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Senior level requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Project management, leadership, and regulatory knowledge.
Preferences
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of energy and risk management in regulated markets.
- Experience with automation tools and energy trading software.
