Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Development Officer to join Enterprise Community Partners, a national nonprofit dedicated to making a good home possible for families in need. As a Senior Development Officer, you will be responsible for strategizing and collaborating with program teams to cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate, foundation, government, and individual funders. Your role will involve inspiring current funders to renew and expand their support and attracting new funders interested in housing, resident services, racial equity, and climate work. Additionally, you will contribute to organization-wide fundraising goals by exploring new opportunities and adding value to our collective fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Enterprise's mission, strategic plan, and programs to inform fundraising strategy.
  • Collaborate with program staff to articulate programming for prospective funders.
  • Build relationships with local, regional, and national funders while creating customized fundraising strategies.
  • Organize meetings, events, and communications with prospects and funders.
  • Write and submit proposals, reports, and stewardship documents in alignment with funder guidelines.
  • Create customized funder proposals and impact reports in collaboration with the Communications team.
  • Devise unique recognition opportunities for funders in partnership with the Communications team.
  • Maintain accurate funder records in Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in corporate and foundation fundraising.
  • Proven track record in securing 6-figure gifts.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Basic design skills for creating collateral materials.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information for donor materials.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $93,000 to $103,000.
