Job Description

Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud, powering hundreds of thousands of businesses globally. We are seeking a dynamic, organized self-starter to join AWS as a Senior Region Build Technical Program Manager to support new AWS region builds across the globe. In this role, you will work closely with Service Teams, Infrastructure, and Business Development to design and deliver new AWS regions, collaborating with Product Teams to efficiently utilize resources and technologies. Your responsibilities will include developing schedules to ensure the timely launch of new regions, assessing risks, overcoming technical obstacles, and balancing business needs and technical constraints.

Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent problem-solving abilities. This role will sit in Amazon's new headquarters in Northern Virginia, which will see significant investments and job creation. Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
