Are you passionate about implementing innovative cloud computing solutions and solving complex technical problems? Join Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. as a Systems Development Engineer for ADC2S. You will work with the U.S. Government agencies, utilizing the latest cloud computing technologies to implement innovative solutions and solve technical challenges. As part of the Serverless team in Seattle, your role will involve building and supporting fully managed services, such as Lambda, Simple Workflow, and Step Functions, to enable our customers to build scalable, fault-tolerant production systems effortlessly. This rapidly growing team seeks talented engineers to help create massive scale and robust new programming paradigms.

Responsibilities

  • Identify ways to improve customers' lives through enhancements to tools, processes, and documentation.
  • Work with a team of highly motivated and talented systems developers and engineers to enhance the use of tools in both isolated AWS regions and in the AWS GovCloud regions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems.
  • 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
