Job Description
We are hiring a Diesel Mechanic to join our team at First Student, the largest school transportation provider in North America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure vehicle safety and readiness. If you have experience in automotive or diesel maintenance and repair, or technical school education, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment components such as brakes, suspensions, and transmissions.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders and assist with emergency services.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain CDL.
- Minimum 1 year of automotive or diesel maintenance experience or technical school education.
- Mechanic’s tool set and willingness to participate in ASE certification program.
- Subject to drug testing.
