Job Description

Rudman Winchell, a well-established general practice law firm, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Litigator Attorney to join our thriving legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in civil litigation, exceptional communication abilities, and a strong commitment to delivering top-tier legal services to our clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in civil litigation proceedings, including drafting legal documents and presenting cases in court.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to develop effective case strategies.
  • Manage all aspects of the litigation process, such as discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration sessions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case handling.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments.
  • Provide exceptional client service by maintaining regular communication and offering updates on case progress.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Maine.
  • Proven experience in civil litigation.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to upholding ethical standards and client confidentiality.
  • Willingness to travel locally and statewide for client-related legal matters.
  • Availability to work beyond standard hours when necessary.
