Job Description

We are seeking a Critical Infrastructure Engineer III to join Flexential's team. This high-level position involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance on all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment in data centers, maintaining mission-critical uptime of 99.999% or higher. The role requires advanced technical knowledge and active participation in cross-market efforts to enhance operational effectiveness. Responsibilities also include vendor management, documentation control, and training support.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • 24x7 facility on-call support
  • Maintain and repair mission-critical equipment for 99.999% uptime
  • Vendor relationship management
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives
  • Lead disaster recovery exercises
  • Assist in commissioning efforts and AHJ compliance
  • Implement change windows and maintain safety standards
  • Create and manage maintenance procedures
  • Perform facility rounds and equipment monitoring
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of data center experience
  • Root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Expertise in building automation
  • Understanding of critical electrical and mechanical systems
  • Military or trade experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical/mechanical certifications
  • 8+ years of data center operation experience
  • Depth in functional/technical knowledge

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting/standing for extended periods
  • Keyboard usage and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional travel

Base Pay Range

The salary range for this position is ($42.64 - $53.27), subject to candidate qualifications and location.
